Apple Cider Vinegar for Curing Acne
Apple cider vinegar contains numerous minerals that are all required for a balanced and healthy body. The cider itself is created from crushing organic apples and letting them ferment in barrels. Once the vinegar has matured, it appears dark and cloudy since the raw apple cider vinegar is still filled with apple traces. To give the liquid its clear quality, it needs to be run through a filter to get rid of the traces.
Acne and apple cider vinegar are often mentioned together because cider is a well-known acne home remedy. The cider works by balancing the pH level of the skin and promoting a fresher and healthier appearance. It also absorbs the extra oil created by the sebaceous glands, which is a leading cause in acne. In addition, apple cider vinegar and acne go together because the cider will help to kill bacteria on the skin and prevent any present pimples from becoming infections.
To apply the apple cider for your acne, start by diluting the solution with 3 times the amount of water. So if you add one cup of vinegar, mix in three or four cups of water. Vinegar should not be used directly on your face because it is too strong and can lead to irritation. When applying the mixture, use a soft cloth or piece of cotton. Never use your hands or the bacteria from your fingers will spread over your face.
Wait ten minutes for the vinegar to soak into your face, then rinse it off. This process can be repeated three times a day. Doing it more than this will not make your acne worse, but it won’t make it any better either. Extreme acne cases can use this solution overnight without washing it off. People suffering from acne can also use more concentrate levels of vinegar. For example, one cup of vinegar and two cups of water. However, the strong solution should not be left overnight.
