Fish Oil and Healthy Skin
There is a strong link between fish oil and health. There’s just to much research to deny it. Several studies report that fish oil has possible positive health effects in such areas as cancer, mental illness, and cardiac care. And there’s been a lot of research that has shown how beneficial fish oil for skin can be too.
If you are not currently taking fish oil supplements, you should consider adding one or more doses to your daily routine. There are a lot of easy-to-use products available. For instance, there are fish oil capsules, tablets, and even fish oil vitamins available in most markets and in just about every health food store on the planet.
The benefits from fish oil consumption come from the fact that the oil contains omega-3 fatty acids. These little darlings generally work to reduce inflammation in the body but they do much more. Some well known fish oil benefits include, improved eye sight, lower blood pressure, and a reduced risk of depression.
Some claim that a regular intake of omega-3 fatty acids will help you in your fight against acne. And some people’s acne does indeed improve after a regular dose of fish oil supplements begins. Breakouts can be less severe and overall acne can get better as well. But some people find that the fatty acids increase their skin’s oiliness and actually contribute to more breakouts.
The lesson here of course is that different body chemistries react differently. If you wish to try fish oil in order to improve your complexion, you must closely monitor your reactions. If your complexion gets worse, discontinue the usage and move on to another acne remedy.
These supplements come in all sorts of dosage sizes but, for the most part, you can get an adequate supply of your omega-3′s in just one single pill or capsule. And believe me, it sure beats taking your fish oil by mixing it into a blended drink or some hot or cold meal. The health benefits may be great, but the flavor leaves something to be desired.
Note, you should always see a doctor before you begin any new diet or supplements and fish oil is no different.
